Three Harry Potter Lands to be Unveiled in Abu Dhabi on September 7
A Harry Potter land was supposed to be added to Warner Bros. World Abu Dhabi; however, it now seems that the situation is much bigger than that.
At the "Return to Hogwarts" event in London, a project was unveiled that shows three lands themed around Harry Potter are planned for Warner Bros. World on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi.
In the released teaser, Harry and Ron's magical Ford Anglia is seen taking flight, followed by the Warner Bros. World blue tower. The video ends with the phrase "Three New Lands" and the date September 7.
According to released information, the countdown for the project will end at 12 PM on September 7, UAE time.
The names of these three lands, their attractions, and their rides have not yet been announced. It is even unclear whether the project, which was introduced in 2022 as a large Harry Potter land, has now been divided into three sections or was developed as three from the beginning.
However, planning documents and previous reports had indicated the possibility of locations such as Hogwarts Castle, Diagon Alley, Hogsmeade, and the Forbidden Forest, along with about three dedicated attractions; though the connection of these locations to the three new lands has not yet been confirmed.
This project is set to be the first permanent Harry Potter collection in the Middle East and the first permanent project of this brand outside of Universal parks. Like other sections of Warner Bros. World, this collection will also be completely indoor and equipped with a temperature control system.
The project was introduced in 2022 by Miral and Warner Bros. Discovery, and a project consultant mentioned in May that it is likely to open in 2029; however, this timeline has not yet been officially confirmed by Miral.
Now, Harry Potter fans around the world are waiting to see what Abu Dhabi will add to the world of magic; the main answer to this question will be revealed on September 7.
