Dubai Exhibition Center is set to increase its daily hosting capacity to 60,000 visitors as part of its ongoing expansion plan.

This center, which is part of the World Trade Center, has currently completed about 10% of its new development plan, and the first section of the next phase of the project may be ready by September 2027.

However, the story of development does not end here. The second phase of the project, which is expected to be completed by 2028, will cover approximately 160,000 square meters and will include permanent exhibition halls, dedicated service areas, a wider road network, multi-story parking, and direct connection to Expo City.

One of the most important parts of this development is the construction of a large communication space or 'concourse'; a space that connects the exhibition halls facing each other and will enable the simultaneous hosting of exhibitions of various sizes.

This development comes at a time when the World Trade Center Dubai had approximately 2.97 million visitors in 2025; a figure that shows a 12% increase compared to the previous year. This complex also hosted 401 events in that year, with the health and medical sector being one of its most visited areas, featuring 23 events and about 436,000 participants.

This means that for Dubai, larger exhibitions do not just mean more halls; more visitors, larger events, and ultimately more traffic to the city are also on the way.
