His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, has confirmed the first winner of the 'Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Medal'; an award created to recognize the government director general who has excelled in identifying, empowering, and nurturing the next generation of successful leaders.

The selection of the winner followed a comprehensive evaluation involving 32 government entities. Over 100 interviews were conducted, and 10 independent international leadership evaluators participated in the process.

The name of the winner is set to be announced on September 23, coinciding with the 'Mohammed bin Rashid Leadership Forum 2026', where they will be honored.

The main focus of this award is not only the performance of senior managers but also their ability to build young managers and leaders who can take on more significant responsibilities in government in the coming years.

His Highness Sheikh Hamdan emphasized in the meeting of the oversight committee for this medal that the power and long-term sustainability of government institutions largely depend on the training and preparation of young leaders in the second and third management tiers.
