If your company's financial year in the UAE ends on December 31, 2025, now is the time to gather your tax documents.

The Federal Tax Authority of the UAE has announced that these companies must submit their corporate tax return and settle any payable tax by September 30, 2026.

This deadline is not only for companies with payable tax; eligible small business tax exemption businesses must also submit their simplified return on time.

Submitting the return, paying taxes, and even registering for corporate tax can be done 24/7 through the EmaraTax digital system.

The tax authority also emphasized that businesses must keep their financial documents and records; including transaction records, assets, liabilities, and shares or ownership of the company. This information is used to assess income, taxable income, and eligibility for small business exemptions.

If you miss the September 30 deadline or fail to keep the necessary records, you may be subject to administrative penalties.
