The date for the Formula One final in Abu Dhabi has been confirmed
Despite regional tensions, Formula One is not going to move the end of the 2026 season from Abu Dhabi.
Stefano Domenicali, the CEO of Formula One, confirmed on the sidelines of the Dutch Grand Prix that the race calendar has not changed and the season will conclude as scheduled with the Qatar Grand Prix on November 29 and then Abu Dhabi on December 6.
Previously, there had been speculation about moving the final to Europe; even the name Imola was mentioned as an alternative option. However, Domenicali now says preparations are underway and Formula One is "fully committed" to holding the final in the Middle East.
In Abu Dhabi, preparations at Yas Marina Circuit are continuing. Organizers have announced that ticket capacity is limited and concerts by Andrea Bocelli, Zara Larsson, Lewis Capaldi, and Imagine Dragons have been confirmed for this event; more artists are expected to be announced soon.
Thus, if the current schedule is maintained, Formula One fans in Abu Dhabi will once again witness the season's conclusion in December; a race that has been a staple event on the calendar of this city since 2009.
