Dubai will open a 24-karat gold walkway by the end of 2026.
Dubai will host a unique tourist attraction by the end of 2026; a pathway made of 24-karat gold that is set to claim the title of the world's first and longest golden walkway.
This project, which is expected to be inaugurated in the Dubai Gold District within the next two months, aims to attract more tourists and strengthen Dubai's position in the global gold and jewelry trade.
Rashed Al Hamoudi, the chief commercial officer of this entity, has stated that residents and tourists will be able to walk on a golden path in this area; an experience that is set to become one of Dubai's new attractions.
The Dubai Gold District is expanding.
This area has also witnessed growth in commercial activities alongside the preparation of the golden pathway. Since the beginning of 2026, the number of gold wholesale offices that have started operations in this area has increased by 20%, and the number of stores selling gold, jewelry, precious stones, and luxury watches has also risen by 15%.
Officials predict that the number of companies relocating to the Dubai Gold District next year will increase by 10 to 20%. The creation of new office and commercial spaces and planning for the launch of the largest gold and jewelry trade show in the Middle East are part of the development plan for this area.
With the opening of the golden pathway and the development of commercial and exhibition spaces, the Dubai Gold District is becoming a more significant destination for tourists and international gold and jewelry market players.
