If you have been thinking about a different trip in Europe for a while, there is now good news for some residents of the UAE. The government of Montenegro has announced that individuals who have held valid residency in the UAE for at least three consecutive years can enter the country without a visa.

This exemption is valid from May 1 to October 1, 2026, allowing eligible travelers to stay in Montenegro for up to 10 days without a visa.

However, this privilege is not for everyone and has several conditions; travelers must have valid UAE residency with at least three years of history, enter Montenegro via direct flights from the UAE, carry a valid passport, and present travel or accommodation reservation documents.

It is important to note that this exemption only applies when entering Montenegro directly from the UAE and does not include individuals entering through another country.

For travel, direct flight options are available; Flydubai operates four direct flights weekly from Dubai to Tivat, Montenegro, with a flight duration of approximately 5 hours and 55 minutes.

The government of Montenegro states that the aim of implementing this temporary plan is to increase tourism and facilitate travel between the UAE and Montenegro. However, travelers are advised to check the latest entry rules and conditions from official sources before traveling, as immigration regulations may change.
