If you are planning to buy a new iPhone these days, it might be better to prepare for a higher cost from now on.

Recently, Apple has increased the prices of several of its products in the UAE online store; an event that many consider a serious indication of the price increase for the next generation of iPhones, especially the Pro models.

Some of these increases were not insignificant. The price of the 13-inch MacBook Air with the M5 chip, which was launched in March at a price of 4599 AED, now starts from 5499 AED. The 15-inch model has also risen from 5499 AED to 6299 AED.

However, the largest price increase is related to the 14-inch MacBook Pro, whose base price has risen from about 7199 AED to 8499 AED; an increase of more than 1300 AED in just a few months.

Apple has attributed this price increase to the sharp rise in memory and storage costs. According to the company, as demand for devices equipped with artificial intelligence has increased, component suppliers have also significantly raised their prices.

This issue has now heightened concerns about the price of the iPhone 18 Pro. Analysts believe that the new generation Pro models, which are likely to be equipped with 12GB of RAM and broader artificial intelligence capabilities, may be up to 200 dollars more expensive than the current generation; a figure that is double the usual price increases of previous years.

If these predictions come true, the price of the iPhone 18 Pro in the UAE is likely to start from around 5400 to 5500 AED, and the Pro Max model may enter the market with a base price of 5800 to 5900 AED.

In this case, the iPhone 18 Pro and Pro Max will become the most expensive standard iPhones that Apple has ever released in the UAE.

Of course, Apple has not yet confirmed the official price or final specifications of the iPhone 18 series, and it is expected that these phones will be introduced in September as usual. However, for residents of the UAE, the increase in prices of MacBooks and iPads has likely been the first serious warning about the cost of purchasing the next iPhone; a flagship that will apparently be smarter, but not cheaper.
