The UAE has introduced Jaywan, its first domestic payment card network; a card that is set to be one of the payment options for residents of this country alongside Visa and Mastercard.

Jaywan has been launched by Al Etihad Payments with the support of the Central Bank of the UAE, aiming to create a domestic payment infrastructure, reduce dependence on foreign networks, and simplify transactions within the UAE.

🔹 Who is this card for?
Individuals who have residency in the UAE and a UAE bank account, including Iranians residing in the UAE, can apply for Jaywan through their bank if offered.

✅ In-person and online shopping
✅ ATM withdrawals
✅ Use in compatible digital wallets
✅ Receive special offers and discounts on certain services

Currently, Jaywan is not a complete replacement for Visa and Mastercard, but it is an important step towards developing an independent payment system in the UAE.
