With the development of the Harry Potter section, Warner Bros. Abu Dhabi now stands at the top of amusement parks worldwide.

Until a few years ago, when the best amusement parks in the world were mentioned, everyone would think of Japan or the USA; now Abu Dhabi has entered that list, not as a competitor, but as the number one.

The indoor amusement park "Warner Bros. World" on Yas Island, Abu Dhabi, won the prestigious Applause Award at the IAAPA Honors 2026 ceremony, officially earning the title of "Best Amusement Park in the World"; an award given to the best amusement park globally since 1980, with only one winner each time.

This is the first time an amusement park in the Middle East has received such a title; an event that is considered a significant achievement for Abu Dhabi and the Yas Island entertainment projects.

Warner Bros. World opened in 2018 on Yas Island and is still the largest indoor amusement park in the region. A place where visitors move between the worlds of Batman, Superman, Bugs Bunny, and Scooby-Doo, experiencing a mix of rides, live performances, and cinematic spaces.

This success comes as the park prepares for new developments, including a dedicated Harry Potter section and two new rides themed around the DC universe that are set to be added to the collection.

For the residents of the UAE, this news is not just a simple award; it is a sign that Yas Island is now establishing itself alongside the world's largest entertainment destinations.
