Dr. Anwar Gargash, advisor to the UAE President, on Wednesday made clear statements denying rumors regarding the cancellation of work permits and the provision of financial facilities to Iran.
This senior diplomat stated that some platforms have targeted the UAE using "desperate media campaigns" and are "spreading false information about this country."
He added that this occurs at a time when the UAE is focusing its efforts on "addressing regional developments and preparing for the post-this phase."

Gargash emphasized that the rumors being circulated, "including those related to the cancellation of work permits or the provision of financial facilities to Iran and similar matters," are not true.
This UAE official also explained that the UAE believes the best way to counter such claims is to continue working and demonstrate tangible achievements in practice.

In the early hours of Wednesday, the UAE suspended all trade exchanges and financial transactions with Iran until further notice following an escalation of regional conflicts.

Afra Al-Hamli, Director of the Strategic Communications Department at the UAE Ministry of Foreign Affairs, stated in a statement that it rejects all claims regarding the status of economic relations between the UAE and Iran.
She said this decision was made "in light of the escalation of regional tensions that have undermined regional and international peace and security."
