If you have curly hair, you probably know that taking care of it in Dubai is not just about choosing a good product. Heat, humidity, and even hard water can change the appearance and texture of hair, and now the first family-friendly Curl Festival in the UAE is set to address this issue.

The "Dubai Curl Festival" will take place on Saturday, October 10 at Cornelia’s Craft Kitchen in Dubai Internet City; an event organized by the Dubai-based platform Oh My Knots, and according to the organizers, it is the first family festival dedicated to curly, coily, and textured hair in the UAE and the region.

The event will run from 10 AM to 6 PM and does not have a fixed schedule; meaning visitors can come and go at any time throughout the day.

The main focus of the festival is on a problem that many people with curly hair in the region face: the recommendations they find online do not always apply to the local weather conditions.

The organizers say the goal is not just to teach how to manage curly hair; a space is intended to be created where curly hair is celebrated as a natural part of people's appearance rather than something that needs to be "fixed".

One of the main features of the event is the "Kids’ Curl Corner"; a space for children where various types of curly hair are positively showcased.

A ticket provides full access to the festival all day, and a 3% booking fee will be added to the final amount when purchasing.

Parking is free for two hours, provided that the parking ticket is validated at the restaurant. Each guest will also receive a welcome drink upon arrival, and all ticket holders, including children, will receive a gift package from participating brands.

After the Early Bird tickets are sold out, general pricing applies:
