The United Arab Emirates announces New Year holiday for public and private sectors

For many residents of the UAE, the news of an official holiday always means the start of planning for a short break; and now another holiday has been added to the calendar.

The UAE announced that Monday, June 15, will be an official holiday in celebration of the Islamic New Year. This holiday applies to both the public sector and private companies.

According to the official announcement, the activities of offices and companies will resume on Tuesday, June 16.

This means that many employees and families can have a longer weekend; an opportunity for a short trip, relaxation, or spending time with family, right during the warm days at the beginning of the UAE summer.
