From 47 million burgers to a 4600 AED shopping cart: What did Dubai residents order online in 2025?

In 2025, residents of Dubai and the UAE ordered over 47 million burgers, 1.6 million mini cheese pizzas, and hundreds of thousands of doogh through online platforms.

Statistics released by the largest delivery apps in the UAE show that online shopping has become an inseparable part of daily life, encompassing everything from essential purchases to spontaneous orders.

Noon Mince announced that users ordered everything from deer-patterned napkins to inflatable pool coolers.

This platform also reported that after launching new features in December, over 25,000 Secret Santa groups were created. In Supermall, with delivery within 60 minutes, anti-snoring devices saw over 25,000 orders, fidget toys tens of thousands of orders, and even adult dinosaur costumes experienced unexpected increases.

Talabat reported that over 47 million burgers were ordered across the UAE, but the most ordered food of the year was mini cheese pizza with over 1.3 million orders. In the beverages category, iced Americano topped the list, followed by matcha latte.

At Talabat Mart, Lebanese drink remained one of the popular items with over 620,000 orders. Careem announced that over 1.6 million burgers were delivered throughout the year, averaging 4,400 burgers per day. One user recorded 1,250 orders in a year, while the largest food order was over 1,600 AED for 15 servings of brisket from a restaurant.

In Careem Quick, bananas were the most ordered product for the third consecutive year for both men and women, but expensive orders were also notable; including an order of 19,800 AED for 50 boxes of viral Dubai chocolates.

These statistics show that Dubai's delivery apps are used for everyday purchases, familiar meals, and spontaneous shopping. Speed and convenience are now taken for granted, but what stands out is the consistency in choices; burgers, bananas, and doogh repeatedly appear on the order lists, demonstrating how online delivery has become ingrained in the daily decision-making of Dubai residents.
