As residents across the UAE gathered early on Wednesday for the Eid al-Adha prayers, the President of the UAE also congratulated this sacred occasion by sending a message of unity and blessings.

In a message released for this occasion, His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed Al Nahyan extended his congratulations to the rulers of the UAE, citizens, residents, and Muslims around the world. He performed the Eid al-Adha prayer at the Sheikh Zayed Grand Mosque in Abu Dhabi on Wednesday morning.

He also expressed his congratulations to "everyone who considers the UAE their home"; a message that emphasizes a sense of shared belonging and resonates strongly during Eid al-Adha, a time when unity, empathy, and community are highlighted. His words reflect the inclusive approach of the UAE; an approach often expressed in his famous phrase: "In the UAE, everyone is Emirati." This concept gains more significance during the festive days when families and communities of various nationalities come together to pray, reflect, and celebrate.

The President of the UAE stated in his message: "We pray that God bestows His blessings upon our country and grants everyone peace, stability, and prosperity."

Across the UAE, mosques witnessed a large turnout of worshippers participating in the Eid prayers, and afterwards, families and community members began the Eid celebrations by exchanging greetings.
