Leaders of the UAE spoke about the sacrifices of the forces and their role in neutralizing attacks from Iran on the 50th anniversary of the UAE Armed Forces.

As the UAE goes through one of its most sensitive security periods, the fiftieth anniversary of the unification of its armed forces has become a symbolic moment to showcase its defensive power.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, referring to this occasion, praised the key role of the armed forces in countering recent Iranian attacks and described this period as a 'time for national pride.' He emphasized that the performance of the forces in countering these attacks and the sacrifices made will be a lasting part of the country's history.

This statement comes at a time when the UAE has faced a wave of missile and drone attacks since the onset of hostilities on February 28; a significant portion of these attacks has been neutralized by defensive systems. However, these tensions have also incurred costs, and several military and civilian personnel have lost their lives.

Although a temporary ceasefire between Iran and the United States in April somewhat reduced the intensity of the hostilities, new Iranian attacks in recent days have once again raised concerns about escalating tensions in the region.

In such an atmosphere, the President of the UAE has emphasized that strengthening the country's defensive capabilities will remain one of the main priorities; a path that, according to him, guarantees the security, stability, and continued development of the UAE.

At the same time, other leaders of the UAE also described the armed forces as the 'shield and pillar of the country's security,' speaking about their role in maintaining stability and the global standing of the UAE.
