The success of a city is measured not by the number of its skyscrapers, but by the image it creates in the minds of people around the world. Now, Dubai has made a significant leap in this competition.

According to a new report by Brand Finance, the brand value of Dubai city has reached approximately one trillion dirhams, allowing it to rise from seventh to fifth place among the world's strongest city brands.

This report, based on a survey of over 15,000 people in 20 countries, evaluates cities in terms of attractiveness for living, working, investing, and tourism.

One of the key factors in this growth has been the development of digital services and infrastructure. "Digital Dubai" alone has added around 31 billion dirhams to the city's brand value and has played a major role in elevating Dubai's global standing.

According to the study, public familiarity with the "Digital Dubai" brand has reached 92 percent, and its brand-strength index was recorded at 77.7 out of 100. Residents and business operators also rated Dubai's digital infrastructure 8.4 out of 10 for trust and credibility.

The findings show that Dubai is no longer known merely as a financial or tourism hub; more than ever, it is seen as an innovative, business-friendly, low-bureaucracy city attractive to international talent and investors.

Officials at "Digital Dubai" say digital services are no longer just infrastructure but have become part of the experience of living, working, and investing in Dubai, which has helped boost public trust and strengthen the city's global position.

Overall, the new report shows that Dubai's investment in technology and smart services has now become, beyond its economic benefits, a key advantage in the global competition among cities.
