Swimming path in Al Mamzar doubled, the first floating path in the region opened, bringing Dubai one step closer to becoming a global living destination.

Al Mamzar is no longer just a beach; it has now become an experience you can visit at any hour of the day or night. 

After a major renovation project, Dubai has reopened 'Al Mamzar Lagoon' to the public; a project aimed at transforming this popular beach into one of the city’s 24-hour destinations.

In the new version, everything is bigger and different. The length of the swimming path has reached 3.6 kilometers, more than double what it was before. A floating path, said to be the first of its kind in the region, connects both sides of the beach. Alongside it, over 5.5 kilometers of paths for running, walking, and cycling have been designed so that the beach is not just for viewing, but for living.

The beach area now has more breathing space. Its area has reached 182,000 square meters, and a 300-meter 'night beach' has been added to allow for swimming under the night lights. For this development, over 350,000 cubic meters of sand have been added to the beach; an action that has both expanded the space and helped the environmental resilience of the beach.

The facilities are not limited to nature alone. From an outdoor gym to volleyball and paddle courts and various water sports, everything has been designed to cater to every taste.

This reopening is the first phase of the larger 'Al Mamzar Beaches' project; a 500 million dirham plan that is ultimately expected to attract up to 7 million visitors annually. This project is part of a larger 3 billion dirham program to redesign Dubai's beaches, from Jumeirah to Jebel Ali.

But perhaps more important than the numbers is the reaction of the people. Residents who have known this beach for years are now faced with a version that they say is 'beyond expectations.' What was once a simple beach has now become one of the main recreational destinations in Dubai.

Behind this change lies Dubai's ever-present goal: to build a city that will be one of the best places in the world to live by 2040. The new Al Mamzar is not just a construction project; it is part of this larger vision—a city where even its beaches are designed for the future.
