Sheikh Mohammed: UAE Will Introduce Major Changes in Government Services Next Month

Next month, the UAE will unveil one of its biggest changes in the way government services are delivered; a change that, according to His Highness Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, the Ruler of Dubai and Vice President of the UAE, is set to be announced at a special event.

His Highness Sheikh Mohammed, referring to the results of an international survey by the consulting firm BCG, stated that the UAE ranks first in user satisfaction with government digital services.

According to him, over 75% of participants believe that the UAE government's services are even better than those of the private sector's digital services; a trend that has continued with the increasing use of technology and artificial intelligence in government services.

The UAE had previously announced that within two years, half of the government services would be provided using "Agentic AI".

In August, the government also published a unified guide for designing government services based on Agentic AI. These standards emphasize that information previously obtained from the user should not be requested again, the user should be informed at all stages, and privacy and data security should be maintained.

Now it remains to be seen what exact stage the promised "biggest change" for next month will bring UAE government services to.
