Sharjah Ruler Opens 700 Million Dirham Khorfakkan Residence
His Highness Sheikh Sultan bin Muhammad Al Qasimi, Ruler of Sharjah, inaugurated the "Khorfakkan Residence" project on Thursday, May 7, a 700 million dirham project developed by Asas Real Estate, a subsidiary of Sharjah Islamic Bank.
This project was built to enhance tourism and investment in Khorfakkan and includes 573 residential units ranging from one to four bedrooms, living spaces, and 16 commercial units.
The new residence is located in a coastal position with a direct view of Khorfakkan beach and is close to the city's famous promenade and waterfall.
This complex offers four different panoramic views of the sea, beach, city, and mountains and is recognized as one of the landmark projects in the region that combines nature with modern urban living.
At the same time, the Ruler of Sharjah laid the foundation stone for the new project "Abu Kizan Marine Village" in Khorfakkan; a tourism and recreational project covering 7 million square feet, inspired by the coastal villages of Italy.
This project will feature architecture inspired by traditional Ligurian style along with Islamic elements and will include colorful buildings, a natural harbor among the rocks, coastal pathways, green spaces, and a network of roads and walkways.
The Ruler of Sharjah had previously announced his intention to transform Khorfakkan into a "city surrounded by forests"; a city with more oxygen, less carbon dioxide, and a broader natural space to enhance the quality of life for residents.
According to him, specialized teams are implementing extensive green space projects in the mountainous areas of Khorfakkan, using natural water collection systems for irrigating trees.
These projects are part of Sharjah's larger plan to develop tourism while preserving the environment and transforming the natural landscape of Khorfakkan.
