According to the French Minister of the Interior, seven police officers were injured in these unrests, and some fans created a tense night by setting cars on fire, vandalizing shops, and starting fires in various parts of the city. Around the Arc de Triomphe and the Champs-Élysées, about 20,000 people gathered, and the police intervened to control the crowd.

These events occurred after Paris Saint-Germain's victory over Arsenal in the UEFA Champions League final, marking the team's second European championship. Despite the clashes, French officials announced that the official championship celebration will take place on Sunday near the Eiffel Tower as scheduled, with approximately 100,000 expected to attend. The Paris Saint-Germain team is set to meet with Emmanuel Macron at the Élysée Palace after this event.
