The speed climbing competitions of the 2026 Asian Games in Aichi-Nagoya were held yesterday (Thursday) at the Port Messe Hall, and Reza Alipour, representing Iran, won the silver medal.

Alipour reached the silver medal in the speed climbing final, competing against athletes from Indonesia, Kazakhstan, and China, with a recorded time of 5.36 seconds. Chou Zhou Hong from China won the gold medal with a time of 4.71 seconds, and the representative from Kazakhstan finished third.
The fastest vertical man in Iran previously advanced to the semifinals by finishing second in his group in the quarterfinals with a time of 5.04 seconds.

In the semifinals, Alipour competed in the third group against two representatives from China and one from Japan, but due to the errors of his two opponents along with another representative from China, he advanced to the finals.
However, Reza Alipour, who previously had two gold medals from the Jakarta and Hangzhou Asian Games, ended this time with a silver medal.
