Parents in the UAE can now pay school fees in 12 installments with Tabby
The start of each school year for many families living in the UAE is not just about buying bags and school uniforms; it is also the time when the pressure of paying tuition, transportation, and extracurricular classes all hits at once. Now, a new collaboration is set to ease this burden.
Tabby, the well-known 'Buy Now, Pay Later' platform based in Dubai, has announced its entry into the education sector, allowing families to pay school and university expenses in installments. This initiative is implemented in collaboration with the educational platform zenda, providing the option to pay tuition, school transportation, and extracurricular activities in monthly installments of up to 12 months, with no hidden fees.
According to a survey by Tabby of over 2,800 parents in the UAE, 88% of families reported experiencing financial pressure when tuition fees are due, and half of them stated that paying the full tuition amount in one go is difficult for them.
Interestingly, 9 out of 10 parents said that if installment payment options were available, their children could participate in programs and activities that they are currently forgoing due to costs.
Currently, over 100 educational centers in the UAE, including Amity Dubai and Sharjah University, have activated this payment option.
