The Palm Jumeirah Monorail has resumed its operations after six months of closure for repairs.

The monorail in Dubai has restarted its operations after a six-month shutdown for maintenance work.

This 5.5-kilometer line is the only public transportation system on Palm Jumeirah, connecting the main points of the island; it starts from Palm Gateway and passes through Golden Mile Galleria, Al Ittihad Park, and Palm Jumeirah Mall, ultimately reaching the Atlantis station at the end of the line.

The monorail's operations had been halted since January due to repairs at the stations, but its operator announced via an Instagram post: 'The Palm Monorail is back! Hop on and enjoy the ride across Palm Jumeirah.'

Palm Jumeirah is home to over 35,000 residents and attracts around 2.5 million tourists each year.

During the monorail's closure, residents and tourists were advised to use the Hala Taxi service operated by the Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) for transportation. Additionally, the Dubai Tram connects to the Palm Gateway station, but its route does not enter Palm Jumeirah.
