Order Issued for the Recall of Potentially Contaminated Masks in the UAE
The UAE has issued a recall for a batch of medical masks due to potential contamination. This decision was made following complaints about product quality and the identification of foreign materials or contamination in some masks.
The Emirates Drug Organization (EDE) has announced that this recall pertains to the three-layer blue masks Nin 160 FMB-NML with serial number 20251015. These masks were produced by the Chinese company Ningbo ETDZ Holdings and distributed in the UAE by Globemed Care.
According to the order from UAE authorities, pharmacies, hospitals, clinics, and other healthcare centers must immediately stop the sale, distribution, and use of this batch of masks and keep their inventory separate for return to the supplier.
If you have purchased this mask, check the serial number on the package. If it is 20251015, do not use the mask anymore and return it to the store or supplier.
The distributing company is also required to collect all products from this batch off the market in the UAE and provide a complete report on the number of masks imported, distributed, returned, and remaining inventory to the drug organization.
UAE authorities have also requested healthcare centers and consumers to report any quality issues or potential side effects related to this product through official channels to the drug organization.
