Have you registered a will for yourself?
Many individuals who have chosen the UAE to build their future, buy a home, or start a business have yet to take an important step to protect their assets and families.

According to new statistics from a financial technology platform, only 18% of families residing in the UAE have an official will; meanwhile, about 88% of the country's population consists of migrants, and nearly a thousand people are added to the residents of Dubai every day.

This report indicates that despite the increase in investment, property purchases, and wealth creation in the UAE, many individuals have not yet clarified the legal status of transferring their assets or guardianship of their children.

According to this report, in recent months, parents with young children have been the most frequent applicants for will drafting services; a topic that shows families' perspectives have gone beyond merely preserving assets to also include determining guardianship of their children and ensuring their future security.

The company also noted that in the UK, about half of adults have a will; a statistic that indicates there is still a significant opportunity in the UAE to raise awareness about financial and legal planning.
