One week left until reopening; Global Village has surpassed Disneyland in visits
Global Village Dubai has now added another significant record to its achievements: it has surpassed Magic Kingdom Disneyland in Orlando and is the most visited amusement park in the world in terms of average daily attendance.
According to the latest data from the Themed Entertainment Association (TEA) for the year 2024, Global Village has had an average of 49,504 visitors daily, while this number for Magic Kingdom was 48,732.
Following these two, Disneyland California and Universal Studios Japan are in the next ranks.
Interestingly, Global Village, unlike many of its major competitors, is not an all-year park and is closed during the hot summer months. This venue typically operates from October to May and mainly in the evening hours.
On the other hand, the statistics for 2025 are likely to have widened the gap between Global Village and Magic Kingdom. The number of visitors to Disney parks in the U.S. saw a one percent decrease that year, while Global Village set a new record in attracting visitors.
The secret to this popularity is not just the number of attractions. Global Village returns each season with cultural pavilions, over 200 rides and attractions, more than 3,500 shops, and over 250 food and beverage options, with tickets starting from 25 dirhams.
Even with this success, when counting annual visitors, Magic Kingdom still leads: this park attracts about 17.8 million people throughout the year, while Global Village has around 10 million visitors during its operating season.
Now, with the start of the thirty-first season of Global Village, it is expected that this venue will again be ready to break visitor records; a place where every year it renews part of its popularity.
