New UAE service enables direct transfer of critically ill patients to hospitals worldwide. 

When time is against you in a medical crisis, every minute can be the difference between life and death. Now, the UAE has a direct response for these critical moments: transferring patients from a hospital bed within the country directly to a hospital bed anywhere in the world.

Response Plus Medical (RPM) has unveiled the new "ICATT Response Plus" service; a "bed-to-bed" medical transfer system operating from Abu Dhabi that transports critically ill patients without interruption in care to Europe, Asia, or any other specialized destination.

At the heart of this service is the UAE's first long-range air ambulance; a fully equipped ICU aircraft capable of flying up to 7,400 kilometers non-stop. This means that the patient remains at the same level of intensive care from the moment they leave the originating hospital until they reach their destination.

This service was introduced at the "Make it in the Emirates 2026" event; where the UAE discusses not only industry but also its vital infrastructure for the future.

For millions of residents and workers in the UAE, this project addresses a major concern: if specialized treatment abroad is needed in a crisis, there is no longer a need to deal with complex coordination or heavy transfer costs.

RPM's medical teams have already completed over 158 hours of emergency flight operations, and now with the addition of this advanced fleet, the speed and accuracy of services have reached a new level. This operation is conducted with the help of artificial intelligence, smart dispatch systems, and real-time fleet monitoring to minimize response time.

Alongside this aerial development, RPM also has a widespread presence within the UAE: over 350 ambulances, coverage of over 420 centers in vital industries, and more than 3,000 medical personnel.

This project is not just a new service; it is part of the UAE's larger strategy to become a global hub for medical services and export advanced health models to the world. Now, Abu Dhabi is one step closer to becoming a global center for emergency medical transfers.
