Meta has stopped the controversial feature that used Instagram photos for artificial intelligence.

According to this feature, if your account was Public, others could tag your ID and use your public photos and posts as a reference to create a new image of you or in the style of your images. This raised significant privacy concerns.

“A few days ago, Meta introduced a feature that allowed users to generate new images using public Instagram photos and posts with artificial intelligence. This feature faced widespread criticism regarding privacy, and Meta announced that it has been stopped. Previously, many users were concerned that their images could be used as a reference for generating AI images without their knowledge.”
