The iPhone X, which once marked one of the most significant changes in iPhone history, has now officially reached the end of Apple's hardware support.

Apple has placed the iPhone X and the 15-inch MacBook Pro model 2018 on its list of "obsolete" products. According to Apple's definition, a product is considered obsolete when more than seven years have passed since its distribution was discontinued.

The iPhone X was introduced in 2017 to celebrate the tenth anniversary of the iPhone, featuring a notch display, very thin bezels, and Face ID facial recognition, which changed the design path for subsequent iPhones.

However, its software life ended sooner; the last major version of iOS released for the iPhone X was iOS 16, and this phone was not eligible for iOS 17.

The 15-inch MacBook Pro 2018 is currently limited to macOS Sequoia.

Being on the "Obsolete" list means that Apple no longer provides hardware services for these products, and service centers cannot order the necessary parts from Apple.

However, for Mac laptops, battery-related repairs may still be possible for up to 10 years after the last time the device was sold, but only if parts are available.

The iPhone X and MacBook Pro 2018 were previously on Apple's "Vintage" list. Products on this list have not been distributed by Apple for between five to seven years.

Currently, models such as iPhone XS, XS Max, iPhone 11 Pro, and 11 Pro Max, as well as iPhone 6s, 7, and 8 are on the Vintage list.

Meanwhile, rumors about the next generation of iPhones have also intensified; it is said that Apple may release the iPhone 18 series in stages, with high-end models, including a foldable iPhone and Pro models, being introduced this year, while the base model of the iPhone 18 will hit the market next year.
