Investing in the Future Paid Off; UAE Became the Top Destination for AI Experts Worldwide
When it comes to global competition in the field of artificial intelligence, countries like the USA, China, or India usually come to mind. However, the UAE has now surpassed all of them in an important index.
According to data published in the Stanford AI Index 2026 report, the UAE recorded the highest growth in the world in 'AI talent concentration' between 2019 and 2025, achieving a 121% growth rate and ranking first globally.
This statistic, released by Sheikh Saif bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister and Minister of Interior of the UAE, shows that the UAE has outpaced many leading countries in attracting and retaining AI specialists.
In response to this report, Sheikh Saif stated that this success is not just a technological achievement, but the result of an approach that has made the development of human capital, talent attraction, and future building part of the UAE's national policies. He emphasized: 'The UAE does not wait for the future; it builds it.'
This success comes at a time when the UAE has made extensive investments in artificial intelligence, advanced technologies, and digital infrastructure in recent years, while simultaneously launching various programs to attract specialists from around the world.
In this ranking, India stands second with a 120% growth rate, and Saudi Arabia ranks third with a 113% growth rate.
