However, if you purchase from authorized gas stations like Emirates, Eppco, Enoc, or Adnoc, the total cost is 100 AED with no shipping fee. To buy a Salik tag in Dubai, you can use the official Salik website, the Careem app, or authorized gas stations.

In online purchases, after entering your information and making the payment, the tag is automatically activated and will be shipped within five working days. Tags purchased from the Careem app or gas stations must be activated manually, which can be done through the Salik website or the RTA Dubai app.

If you pass through a toll gate without a Salik tag, you have 10 working days to purchase and activate your tag. Otherwise, you will incur a fine. An important point is that the Salik tag is permanent and does not expire, but it must be installed correctly on the windshield of the vehicle to avoid potential fines.
