The price of Apple's foldable iPhone in the UAE starts from 8,499 dirhams
The first foldable iPhone from Apple has finally found its official price in the UAE: 8,499 dirhams for the 256GB model of iPhone Duo. Pre-orders will start on October 16 at 4 PM UAE time, and official sales will begin on October 23. However, if you intend to buy, it's better not to just look at the number on the box; because the actual cost of this phone can be much higher. To start, the official Apple case costs between 319 to 529 dirhams. With a regular case, the phone's cost rises to 8,818 dirhams, and with a Folio equipped with a stand, it reaches 9,028 dirhams. Next is AppleCare+; coverage that for such an expensive and complex phone may be more tempting than ever. The cost for two years is about 1,349 dirhams and covers accidental damages like drops and liquid spills. As a result, a relatively reasonable package including the phone, a regular case, and AppleCare+ comes to 10,167 dirhams. The charger has its own story. Apple includes a USB-C cable in the box, but there is no charging adapter. The 40W Dynamic Power Adapter with a maximum power of 60W costs 169 dirhams and is a better option for fast charging the Duo. If you also want the MagSafe wireless charger, you need to set aside another 199 dirhams for its charger. Therefore, the phone, Folio case, AppleCare+, charger, and MagSafe together cost around 10,745 dirhams. However, the biggest price jump occurs with the memory choice. If you opt for the 2 terabyte version instead of the 256GB model, the price of the phone itself rises to 13,599 dirhams. With the same accessories, the final cost increases to 15,845 dirhams; that is 7,346 dirhams more than the base price. Of course, none of these costs are mandatory. You can use your previous charger, skip AppleCare+, buy a cheaper case, and choose the same 256GB memory. Ultimately, 8,499 dirhams is just the entry price into the world of iPhone Duo; what you actually take home, depending on memory and accessories, can cost over 10,000 and even close to 16,000 dirhams.
