The UAE has launched a new national award to recognize individuals, families, and organizations that have made a lasting impact on society through their activities.

This award was established by the directive of His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Zayed, President of the UAE, under the title 'Year of the UAE', and aims to highlight those whose actions have led to positive change, strengthened social cooperation, and supported the annual themes of the country.

In 2026, designated as the 'Year of the Family' in the UAE with the slogan 'Growth in Unity', this award will focus on the role of the family as the cornerstone of a united, compassionate, and supportive community.

The award will be implemented under the supervision of His Excellency Sheikh Mansour bin Zayed Al Nahyan, Deputy Prime Minister of the UAE and Head of the Presidential Office, and Her Excellency Sheikha Maryam bint Mohammed bin Zayed, Deputy Head of the Presidential Office for National Projects.

The selection process will be based on three main criteria: impact, sustainability, and inspiration. The award will be granted in five categories:

Main Award
Collective Participation Award
Public Sector Champion
Private Sector Champion
Civil Society Champion

The first edition of these awards will be held in collaboration with the Ministry of Family. Families and organizations can submit their impactful stories and projects until September 10, 2026, through the official website.
