His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid: 2025 was another prosperous year for the tourism industry across the UAE
2025 was another prosperous year for the tourism industry across the United Arab Emirates; a year that demonstrated this country remains one of the main travel destinations in the world.
According to a new report from the tourism sector, over 32 million hotel guests stayed across the country; a figure that, alongside the continuous growth of infrastructure, paints a bright picture of the increasing demand for travel to the UAE.
Hotel revenues during this period reached over 49.2 billion dirhams; a growth of about 9.7 percent compared to the previous year. This growth is not just a number, but a sign of increased traveler stay and the flourishing of tourism experiences across the country.
Behind these statistics lies a vast network of the hospitality industry: over 217,000 hotel rooms in more than 1,240 hotels throughout the Emirates. This infrastructure has led to an average hotel occupancy rate of 79.5 percent; one of the highest rates in the region and the world.

Throughout the year, the total number of nights stayed by tourists also reached about 100 million nights; a figure that indicates the UAE is not just a transit destination, but a place to stay and experience.
This trend has been recorded while His Excellency Sheikh Mohammed bin Rashid emphasized the continuation of investment in transportation, hospitality, entertainment, and cultural projects during the review of the country's tourism performance report.
Globally, the UAE's position has been solidified; ranking 18th in the World Tourism Development Index and 1st in the Middle East and North Africa region shows that this growth is not only domestic but also recognized on an international scale.
Ultimately, tourism in the UAE is no longer just an industry; it is one of the main pillars of economic diversification that is becoming broader and more competitive each year.
