Best Parks in Dubai for Fun with Children; From Free Options to Family Parks

As the weather in Dubai cools down, parks once again become one of the popular options for family recreation. From large coastal parks to neighborhood green spaces that are free to enter, Dubai offers diverse options for families looking to spend a few hours outdoors with their children.

Most of Dubai's large parks open at 8 AM and remain open until night, although working hours may change during public holidays. Given the relatively warm weather in October, evening and night hours are usually a more suitable time to visit parks with children.

Zabeel Park is one of the most well-known parks in Dubai, featuring vast lawns, playgrounds, and suitable picnic areas. The entry fee for this park is 5 dirhams, and it operates from 8 AM. This park is located in the Zabeel area and near the Max Metro Station.

Creek Park is also situated alongside Dubai Creek and offers extensive green space, playgrounds, and access to attractions like Children's City and Dubai Dolphinarium. The entry fee is 5 dirhams, and the park opens at 8 AM.

If you are looking for a more complete recreation option, Al Mamzar Beach Park is a suitable choice. This complex, in addition to green space and playgrounds, also has a beach and swimming pool. The entry fee is 5 dirhams per person or 30 dirhams per vehicle. The cost for using the pool is 10 dirhams for adults and 5 dirhams for children. This park is located in the Al Mamzar area near the Sharjah border.

For free options, you can head to Al Nahda Pond Park, which features a central pond, playground, running and cycling paths, and sports equipment. This park is located in Al Nahda 2 and entry is free.

Al Qusais Pond Park is also a quieter option for families, featuring a playground, walking paths, and suitable picnic areas. Entry to this park is free.

In the Mirdif area, Mushrif National Park offers a forested area, picnic and barbecue spots, playgrounds, and a recreational train. The entry fee is 3 dirhams per person and 10 dirhams per vehicle, and using the train costs 2 dirhams.

Quranic Park in the Al Khawaneej area is another free option that includes a garden, lake, and play area. Visiting sections like the Cave of Miracles and Glass House requires a separate fee.

Safa Park in Al Wasl is one of the old and well-known parks in Dubai, featuring green space, playgrounds, and a recreational train. The entry fee is 3 dirhams, and parking is free. This complex also has a section dedicated to women.

If you are looking for a smaller and quieter space, Al Sufouh Park with two shaded playgrounds can be suitable for a short family stop. Entry to this park is free.

Al Barsha Pond Park covers about 20 hectares and includes three shaded play areas, a large pond, cycling paths, sports fields, and an outdoor gym. Entry is free, but it should be noted that barbecuing is prohibited in this park.

In Palm Jumeirah, Al Ittihad Park is located under the monorail and features several playgrounds, a 3.2-kilometer running path, and a collection of native plants. This park operates 24 hours and entry and parking are free.

JLT Park is also a neighborhood park among the Jumeirah Lakes Towers, which has a special area for infants and toddlers, and entry is free.

In Dubai Hills Park, families have access to shaded play areas, sports fields, running paths, and a dog park. Entry to the park is free, but the package for attractions like Splash Park, Skate Park, and Ice Rink costs 55 dirhams for residents and 85 dirhams for non-residents.

Finally, Town Square Park in Dubai Land is also one of the popular family options, featuring a playground, water play area, Ferris wheel, family train, and vast lawns. Entry to the park is free, but using the attractions incurs a separate fee.

If you are looking for a low-cost family outing in Dubai, these parks offer a diverse range of options; from free neighborhood spaces to beach parks and complexes with more complete recreational facilities.
