Free Breast Cancer Screening Across the UAE

Starting from October 1st, residents of the UAE can visit one of the Pink Caravan programs for free breast cancer screening; it doesn't matter if you are in Dubai, Abu Dhabi, Sharjah, Fujairah, or any other emirate.

This campaign, organized by the Friends of Cancer Patients (FOCP) charity, will have over 75 programs throughout October, including fixed and mobile clinics, workplace visits, and social events.

In these centers, free clinical breast examinations and mammograms will be provided for eligible individuals, and screening is not limited to women; men can also benefit from these services.

If you cannot visit the centers; the Pink Caravan mobile clinics will also visit residential neighborhoods, shopping and entertainment centers, universities, companies, and government organizations throughout October.

A complete schedule, terms of service, and registration details will be published on the Pink Caravan website and social media.

The importance of this campaign is not just limited to the number of clinics. In last year's campaign, over 19,000 free screenings were conducted; among them, 17,458 women and 2,244 men were screened.

Individuals who require further examinations after screening will be referred through the campaign's partner medical centers for continued assessment.

The Pink Caravan event also has programs for companies and universities; organizations can hold mobile clinics or health awareness programs at their workplaces.

This campaign has been active since 2011 and is part of the FOCP's early cancer detection program. This year's stated goal is to make access to screening easier and to encourage families and peers to prompt individuals to undergo timely health checks.
