Flights from Najaf to Iran Resuming in October

The Iraqi Ministry of Transport has confirmed that Iraqi Airways is preparing to resume its flights to Iran. According to a statement from the ministry, flights to Iran will commence in October from Najaf International Airport.
As per the statement from the Iraqi Ministry of Transport, an exceptional permit has been issued for the resumption of Iraqi Airways flights to Iran following the efforts of Iraqi Prime Minister Ali Falah Al-Zaydi and the Minister of Transport, Minister Al-Husseini.
The statement mentions that Iraqi Airways teams are preparing the legal and technical requirements, and once these are completed, flights will resume.
This action comes after Iranian airlines suspended their flights to Iraq on September 23; while Iraqi Airways had also halted its flights to Iran since early March.
