Despite the escalation of conflict between the United States and Iran and the reciprocal attacks from both sides, Emirates airports and most countries in the region continue to operate without serious disruption, and most flights are being conducted as scheduled.

According to aviation industry experts, the difference in this round of tensions compared to previous months is that the attacks have primarily targeted military objectives, and civilian infrastructure and airports have not been affected. For this reason, unlike previous instances, airlines have not seen a need for widespread flight cancellations.

An examination of the flight status at Dubai International Airport also shows that most flights have been on time. According to FlightAware data, only about one percent of flights have been canceled and 12 percent have experienced delays; statistics that do not significantly differ from many major airports around the world.

In contrast, some European airlines that had suspended their flights to the region months ago still have no plans to return. For example, KLM will not operate flights to Dubai, Riyadh, and Dammam at least until August 23, and British Airways has also announced that it will not resume flights to Dubai until late October.

However, experts emphasize that as long as regional aviation and security authorities confirm the safety of the skies, regional airlines will continue their normal operations; a matter that is of great importance for millions of travelers, especially with the onset of the peak summer travel season.
