Elon Musk becomes the world's first trillionaire, yet still lives in a 37-square-meter house near his work
On Friday, Elon Musk became the world's first trillionaire after the stock of his rocket company SpaceX surged in its public market debut.
However, Elon Musk bears no resemblance to conventional wealthy individuals; his house is only 37 square meters.
Reports indicate that Musk, who became the first person with a net worth exceeding one trillion dollars following the initial public offering of SpaceX, still lives in a 37-square-meter prefabricated house in Boca Chica, Texas; a house valued at approximately 50,000 dollars, located near the Starbase, the development center for Starship rockets.
This small house includes a living space, kitchen, bedroom, and bathroom, and appears very simple compared to the multi-million dollar mansions typically associated with billionaires. Nevertheless, for Musk, the most significant advantage of the house is its proximity to SpaceX's space projects.
Living in this house is part of an approach Musk has pursued for years; focusing on work and projects rather than luxuries. He has previously spent many nights at Tesla factories or the production centers of his companies. Now, even as his wealth surpasses one trillion dollars, he still prefers a small house next to his workplace over living in lavish mansions.
