Dubai Transport Receives 'Dubai-It' Award in the Public Sector
The Roads and Transport Authority (RTA) of Dubai received the 'Dubai-It' award in the public organizations sector. His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed bin Rashid Al Maktoum, Crown Prince of Dubai, announced this news on Sunday, October 11, and attributed the selection of this authority to its outstanding performance in developing the urban transport system and improving services for residents.
According to His Highness Sheikh Hamdan, major road projects, bridges, and tunnels in Dubai have been implemented at double the global average speed and efficiency, without compromising quality. The accuracy of the scheduling of Dubai's metro trains has also reached 99.7%.
Expanding the metro network, developing autonomous transport systems, and increasing cycling routes are other initiatives of this authority; actions aimed at safer and more convenient mobility and making Dubai a more pedestrian-friendly city.
His Highness Sheikh Hamdan emphasized that government organizations must have solutions for citizens and residents before their needs become an issue and respect people's time.
The 'Dubai-It' award was introduced in early 2026 to recognize individuals, projects, companies, and organizations that represent Dubai's approach to achieving exceptional results in a short time and with high quality. This award covers areas such as government, real estate, economy, technology, health, education, and services.
