Dubai has achieved the second rank in the world in the "Smart Cities Index" by the Boston Consulting Group (BCG), among 61 cities from 39 countries.

This ranking indicates that Dubai has been able to utilize advanced technologies and artificial intelligence to improve the quality of life, enhance government services, and facilitate business activities. This result also reflects Dubai's success in creating a digital, human-centered, and future-ready city.

This index has been published for the first time by the Boston Consulting Group and examines how cities utilize digital technologies and artificial intelligence to create real outcomes for people and businesses.

The report assessed 61 cities across five main categories:
Results, Strategy, Usage, Working Methods, and Supporting Factors.

This evaluation was conducted using 35 indicators across 14 areas of digital transformation. These criteria indicate how much each city utilizes technology for sustainable development and to enhance its competitive power in the world.

According to this report, Dubai has achieved the first rank in the field of utilizing artificial intelligence technologies and smart city solutions. This area has been Dubai's strongest performance among the five main areas of the index.

This ranking shows that Dubai widely uses artificial intelligence programs and smart digital services across various sectors.
Dubai's performance in this regard has made it one of the highest levels of digital maturity among the assessed cities. This indicates that Dubai has been able to turn advanced technologies into practical services and solutions; solutions that create real and measurable value for people and businesses.

The report also indicated that increased use of generative artificial intelligence tools is associated with greater public trust in these technologies. Individuals who use these tools more often tend to have a more positive outlook on their future role.
The report also noted that cities in the Middle East, including Dubai, have a strong interest in utilizing and developing artificial intelligence.
