Dubai Police's New Service: Lost Property Delivered to Your Doorstep
If until today losing a phone or bag in Dubai meant going to the police station and following up in person, now this process has become shorter.
Dubai Police has launched a new service that allows residents to receive lost items found by the police directly at their home or workplace; anywhere in the UAE.
With this service, there is no need to visit the police station to collect found items. Just call Dubai Police's contact center at 901 and if the item is found, request its delivery.
This service makes it easier for individuals living in other emirates, who cannot visit in person or have moved, to retrieve their belongings.
This initiative is part of Dubai Police's program to develop smart services and reduce the need for in-person visits. Statistics show that the lost and found section of Dubai Police returned over 171,000 items to their owners in 2025, while over 868,000 found items were registered and processed in this section.
Dubai Police has previously assisted in returning belongings of tourists and residents; from finding 3,000 dirhams lost by a tourist in a shopping mall to returning a bag containing money, gold, a mobile phone, and important documents of a passenger at Dubai International Airport.
Residents who have lost an item can call 901 to get information about its recovery and the possibility of receiving it on-site.
