An adventure in the Hatta mountains that could have ended badly concluded with a large-scale rescue operation by Dubai Police.

Dubai Police announced that an Arab citizen who lost his way in the mountainous areas of Hatta has been rescued after two days of intensive searching. The incident began when this individual contacted the police command and control center last Saturday and requested assistance.

Upon receiving the report, specialized teams including the 'Brave Team', Hatta police patrols, Dubai Police air unit, air ambulance, national guard forces, and rescue teams were deployed for the operation. However, according to police officials, the incorrect location reported by the stranded individual, along with the difficult mountainous paths and steep slopes, complicated the search process.

Finally, after two days, the rescue forces managed to find him and provide the necessary medical services.

Dubai Police stated that due to the widespread interest of tourists and nature enthusiasts in the mountainous areas, valleys, and dams of Hatta, special equipment and forces are permanently on standby to respond to emergencies in this area. These forces utilize off-road vehicles, drones equipped with thermal cameras, live image broadcasting technology, and advanced communication and rescue equipment.

Police officials have also urged residents and tourists to call 999 or use the SOS feature in the Dubai Police smart app in case of any incidents in the mountainous areas.
