The latest advice from Dubai Police is to be cautious of individuals claiming to be from banks or official entities who request a one-time password (OTP). Dubai Police emphasized in a tweet that banks and official entities never ask for a one-time password over the phone. Previously, Dubai authorities warned about a sophisticated scam where fraudsters impersonated police officers through live video calls.

Dubai Police advised that suspicious calls should be reported immediately through the eCrime platform or local police stations. Approximately 13 suspects from three gangs have been arrested in connection with these scam schemes. Recently, Dubai Police warned about "incredible" investment opportunities through the Anti-Fraud Center of the Criminal Investigations Department.

Companies or online platforms promising unrealistic investment returns are likely to trap you. These entities often introduce themselves on social media or through online advertisements, misusing the names and logos of reputable financial institutions. The main point is clear: in Dubai, be careful who you deal with and keep your personal information safe.
