Imagine realizing just hours before your flight from Dubai that you have lost 3000 dirhams in cash at one of the busiest shopping centers in the city. The first thought that probably crosses your mind is that you have no chance of finding it.

However, for an Arab tourist, this story had a different ending.

After realizing her money was lost, this woman contacted Dubai Police through tourist support services and filed her report. She also informed the officers that she would be leaving Dubai soon.

Dubai Police assured her that even if the money was found after her departure from the UAE, the follow-up process would continue. Subsequently, a team from the shopping mall security department in the tourism police was formed to investigate the tourist's movements in the mall.

The result became clear just two hours later; the entire amount of 3000 dirhams was found in one of the stores. After matching the number of banknotes with the amount stated in the report, the money was fully verified and then transferred to this tourist's account in her country.

This tourist expressed her astonishment at the speed of Dubai Police's actions, stating that she never expected to see the money she lost in a shopping mall returned to her. She also praised the level of security and trustworthiness in Dubai.

This is not the first time that Dubai Police has returned lost items or money to their owners in a short period. Recently, a bag containing luxury watches and electronic equipment was returned to its owner at Dubai International Airport. Last month, a bag containing silver bars worth about 2 million dirhams was found and handed over to its owner.

It seems that in Dubai, even if you lose something and return to your country, there is still a good chance of it being found.
