Dubai Police Offers Up to 30,000 Dirhams for the Best Video of the UAE SWAT Challenge
Dubai Police has announced cash prizes of up to 30,000 Dirhams for the best video created by residents of the UAE during the UAE SWAT Challenge. This global tactical competition will take place from February 7 to 11 in the Al Ruwaya area of Dubai.
On January 28, Dubai Police announced details of this event, which will be the largest gathering of SWAT teams from around the world. Teams will compete in five different challenges to showcase their tactical skills and teamwork. The total cash prizes for this edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge amount to 260,000 dollars or nearly one million Dirhams, with the first team receiving 80,000 dollars.
A new award titled “SWAT Clip” has been designated for UAE residents, focusing on the creative coverage of this event. The first winner in this category will receive 10,000 dollars, equivalent to about 36,700 Dirhams, and the prizes for the second and third places will be announced soon. This initiative particularly encourages students to participate by creating creative content for the event.
Colonel Obaid bin Yaroof from Dubai Police stated that the widespread participation of residents in previous editions motivated the launch of this award. So far, 114 teams from 48 countries have registered on the official website, and some international teams have arrived in Dubai more than a month in advance for preparation. Last year, the sixth edition of the UAE SWAT Challenge set a Guinness World Record for the largest specialized SWAT competition in the world with teams from 46 countries.
