Dubai Municipality to Open 35 New Parks This Year

 

This year, Dubai Municipality will open 35 new parks with an investment of 348 million dirhams, covering a total area of over 340,000 square meters and serving 23 residential communities. These parks have been designed in accordance with the 'Dubai Parks and Green Spaces Strategy', 'Urban Master Plan 2040', and 'Roadmap for Water and Green Spaces 2030'.

 

All parks will be accessible, open, and integrated with neighborhoods, including children's play areas, sports fields, running and cycling paths, social spaces, and food and beverage facilities. The designs are resilient to climatic conditions, sustainable, and utilize recycled water, renewable energy, and artificial intelligence.

 

The municipality is utilizing PPP models in partnership with the private sector for park development and plans to open 310 new parks and upgrade over 220 existing parks by 2040.
