With the onset of the date harvesting season (Al-Qayth), the Community Development Authority of Dubai (CDA) has launched the second phase of the 'Kharayif Al-Rutab' initiative; a program implemented under the directive of His Highness Sheikh Hamdan bin Mohammed, through which fresh dates will be distributed among thousands of families in Dubai.

As part of this initiative, over 5,000 families and target groups in Dubai will receive boxes of fresh dates. The implementation of this program is in collaboration with national farms and the participation of a thousand Emirati volunteers, aiming to support local agricultural products, strengthen social cohesion, and preserve the cultural heritage of the UAE.

Dates will be distributed through local councils in various areas of Dubai, with the schedule as follows:

July 20: Umm Suqeim
July 21: Nad Al Sheba
July 22: Al Warqa
July 23: Al Barsha
July 24: Al Khawaneej

Alongside the distribution of dates, a series of cultural and educational programs will also be held in these councils to familiarize the younger generation with the significance of the palm tree and the traditional season of 'Al-Qayth' in the culture and heritage of the UAE.
