On Thursday morning, travelers returning from summer vacations at Dubai International Airport were greeted with more than just their luggage; colorful banners, chocolates, live music, and staff welcoming them with smiles.

At Terminal 3, airport staff welcomed travelers with signs saying, 'We missed you, welcome back.' For some, this welcome marked a new beginning in Dubai, while for others, it was an emotional moment after months away from family.

One traveler, who came to the airport to greet her sister, saw her after more than 18 months; a reunion filled with hugs and tears of joy.

For families returning from their trips, the program continued; children could make welcome signs for family members, take photos with Dubai Police mascots and the General Directorate of Residency and Foreigners Affairs, and enjoy live oud music.

The airport also distributed free water, chocolates, and snacks among travelers.

This welcome program takes place in the baggage claim area, arrival hall, and transit section of Terminal 3 and will continue until August 30; so if you are returning from a summer trip to Dubai these days, the airport might be the first to say welcome before you reach home.
